Relax & Learn in Island Style
We don't set a predetermined itinerary as it all depends on the availability of the weavers due to their temple / community / cultural responsibilities.
We keep a flexible schedule and always have a few weavers and workshops to choose from over the 5 days.
Workshops are generally half-day, either mornings before lunch or afternoons.
The tour is provided at an easy going “island time” pace with a free day planned for the third day allowing plenty of time to explore the natural beauty of Nusa Penida on your own scooter or pushbike hire, or with one of the many local guides.
“Such a blessing to be involved in the Weaving Connections trip to Nusa Penida!
Days were filled with fun and creativity as we sat with local weavers, practicing ancient techniques of creation.
During the week we were presented with a lovely balance of weaving workshops paced out in relaxed island style.
We were witnesses to traditional Balinese cultural and spiritual practices as island life carried on around us, while the warm natures of the weaving teachers and their families made us feel very welcome.
The perfect adventure for anyone interested in learning traditional Indonesian weaving techniques or simply wanting a taste of traditional island life.
Our family left feeling enriched and inspired.”
